My latest project

A year and a half ago I began cross stitching a baby boy sampler thing (not sure what to call it), and figured by the time I finished it, I would have a new nephew to give it to. I "faithfully" worked on it for about a week, and then it just sat around on our coffee table. 2 months ago I picked it up again because my sister-in-law Emily was due any day, and I decided if she had a boy, it would be a perfect gift for him. So I picked up the project, and was able to complete it, and guess what, Emily had a boy!

While cross stitching, I discovered it really isn't one of my favorite things to do as far as crafts go. It had been awhile since I had cross stitched anything, and I am pretty sure it will be awhile again. I didn't enjoy untangling threads, and I made many mistakes, but it was made with love for my sweet nephew Curtis. I also learned (compliments of my brother David) that cross stitching is 2 seperate words, not the 1 word I always thought it was. I looked it up and it is a fact.

  1. I am with you on preferring other types of crafts! Crocheting is MUCH easier to take out than cross stitching.

  2. That's adorable! I still haven't finished any of the cross stiches that I began from jr. high, so I'd say you're work was done quite fast! Haha.
